What is generalized vitiligo?

Question: What is generalized vitiligo?

Answer: Generalized vitiligo, the most common type, is the loss of color in patches of skin, hair, or mucous on both sides and spread throughout the body or in the eyes.   Generalized vitiligo most commonly starts around the age of 20.  While it usually spreads over time, there is no way to predict how much of the body will be covered or how quickly it will happen.
